Can I use my Metamask account and get cryptos or NFTs without linking my Bank Account?

I am new to cryptos. I just created a new Metamask account for the main purpose of getting NFTS. Can I start getting NFTS (minting them) or Ethereum or other cryptocurrencies without linking my Metamask account with my bank account?
