NY Times, Bloomberg + FT file court order to BLOCK redaction of customer information in FTX filing essentially DOXXing all customers

The New York Times, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, and Dow Jones have filed a motion to dox the confidential information of CUSTOMERS and personal information of INDIVIDUALS.

Bloomberg L.P., Dow Jones & Company, Inc., The New York Times
Company, and The Financial Times Ltd. (collectively, the “Media Intervenors”)
hereby move to intervene for the limited purpose of objecting to Debtors’ Motion
for Entry of a Final Order Authorizing the Debtors to Redact or Withhold Certain
Confidential Information of Customers and Personal Information of Individuals

The bankruptcy filing is of significant and legitimate public concern
given FTX’s leading role in cryptocurrency….

Debtors have been accused of lack of transparency in their business.
That mindset appears to have carried over to this bankruptcy, as they have taken
the extraordinary step of seeking to keep under seal their list of creditors

A motion was made to redact customer information from the FTX bankruptcy case and files such that individual customer balances, addresses, phone numbers, private information would be completely blacked out to protect the customers.

These "journalists" are claiming it's important public information to know exactly who was affected and by how much and have filed their own motion to BLOCK the redaction of personal customer information.

This will have real world implications and affect millions of people, potentially putting them all at risk of scams or much worse.
