The person who wrote the ECB blog on how Bitcoin is “irrelevant“ is the same person who is at the ECB division for a CBDC.

Just a few days ago we had a blog from the European Central Bank released, which essentially called Crypto death and said that we are on our “last gasp […] on a road to irrelevance“. We do not have to talk about the quality of that blog anyway because its just all the same arguments as in 2012, “Bitcoin is just used for illegal transactions“ and so on… Excerpt from the blog post by ECB As said those are decade-old arguments as nowadays the vast majority of Crypto transactions are actually about legal spending and investment for profits. Now, the author of this blog post is Ulrich Bindseil. That is the same person that is a Director General for Market Infrastructure and Payments at ECB. But more importantly he is responsible for the development of a Central Bank Digital Currency with two other people. Now we all know why that extensive blog was made which essentially just included old arguments and FUD about crypto.
