Let’s talk about Tether people. How is it still worth $1? This market will not truly recover until we weed out all the fraud. Earlier this year Tether claimed to own $82 Billion in foreign government bonds but has not disclosed what country they are from. They can’t be allowed to keep printing money

Since the beginning Tether’s integrity has been questioned and they have seemingly been printing money out of thin air. Earlier this year they claimed to have $82 Billion in assets they claim to own, of foreign governments bonds, though they have not said which government the debt was purchased from. Leon Marshall of Genesis reported that many traditional hedge funds were short on Tether following the crash of the stablecoin Terra “with trades worth hundreds of millions of dollars” largely placed by U.S. and Euro hedge funds according to the Wall Street Journal. Tether has also faced large regulatory pressure including a settlement with the New York attorney general office for $18.5 million over misrepresentation of its US dollar and bond holdings, a drop in the bucket compared to their current $65 billion market cap.

This market will not truly recover until all of the fraud and corruption is weeded out and all bad players are eliminated. These fake stable coins may be propping up the price of the shitcoin bags you hold but in the end it is only hurting the market. What can be done about Tether and where do you see it’s future? To me it seems like a high risk reward short of it was possible to take the position.
