Has anyone looked into Proto-Danksharding?

Proto-DankSharding is a proposal to implement Danksharding but without implementing sharding. It focuses on reducing gas fees for rollups.

Proto-DankSharding introduces blobs. These are big wraps of data that contain cheap data. Blobs are cheaper and larger than call data. This makes it easy for light clients to store data for a short while.
