Big Congressional Hearing Today!

Today has already been a monumental day for the crypto space but the day is just getting started! In 10 minutes or 10:00 AM EST, the Senate Agriculture Committee will be holding a hearing about a proposed piece of legislation (S. 4760) that will move jurisdiction to oversee the spot digital commodity market from the SEC to the Commodity Future Trading Commission or CFTC.

Under a normal legislative process, this is a key step that we have not yet seen before. While other pieces of legislation have been discussed or even presented like Sen. Lummis and Sen. Gillibrand's bill S.4356 these pieces have not been heard in committee. Unlike S.4356 which would have wide-ranging implications, S.4760 is slimmed down and directly addresses only a couple of things mainly Bitcoin and Ethereum.
