Nerdy co workers all buying RAV

I've been told to buy Ravencoin, because my friend that works in the I.T industry, all his nerd co workers are saying this is the one, and all their managers are also lumping in on this.

I just wanna know before I buy, does increased mining difficulty mean its a good thing.
