Break identity link between KYC exchange and personal ETH wallet

Data breaches are a normalcy these days, and now with KYC a mandatory for pretty much every exchange, there is a direct link from the centralized exchange I buy etherium from and my storage wallet. How could I protect my identity from breaches painting a target on my back (not really a problem now seeing as I'm not a millionaire, but who knows)?
