Will we get free ETHW if the Etherium fork happens?

I'm actually still a noob when it comes to crypto and finance in general. Im just looking to make a quick buck.

I am holding some etherium in my coinbase wallet and I herd that if etherium gets forked again, everyone gets free ETHW. So, assuming this actually happens, how do I actually ge the new coins? What do I need to do?
