Some questions about ENS domain

Hi everyone, I have my eyes on 2 ens domains that I want and with low gas right now I can get them for total of 36$ each for 4 years which i think is great but i have a few questions 1. I will buy them from my trust wallet but later i might want to use one for my ledger or other wallet, i was looking at how to transfer them and seems complex can anyone give a simple explanation on it or is it something thats actually a bit tricky? 2. Will ens get even cheaper after merge? I know no one can exactly tell but any general ideas?
