How the hell are all you people getting hacked? Some guidelines you might find useful
I seriously dont understand, i see so many new posts of people getting hacked its sad.
As a person who never got hacked, plus i dont use any type of anti virus or firewall ever since Zone Alarms locked me out of my computer almost 15 years ago.
Just use common web litteracy, stop clicking fishy links and replying to other people for anything crypto related.
No one in their right mind would go out of their way to help you resolve "technical" issues, especially if they message you first about it.
Stop clicking shady links and going to questionable sites, dont reply to anything crypto related unless you are on the official crypto platform or can communicate through the app.
Also dont clog everything up into single email, make a personal, name email and use it for official exchanges and apps/dapps, and make a second "fake" email you will register at any other site or info box promping in your web searches. Keep the two seperated at all times, with different passwords as well.
Probably 99% of these hacks are users fault as they accessed some phising website with real sign up info, as i said, never use them outside official app/exchange platform.
No support will contact you first if you havent opened a ticket support request.
Dont visit shady websites and other stuff on your pc, or have a separate pc for browsing with fake email setup and have a pc/cellphone for crypto trading only, where you wont even have a browser installed so its separated from your browsing setup so if it gets compromised your trading pc is safe. Never connect the two.
Ofc there are some much more advance options for tech savy people but in the end it all comes down to the basics and how well you maintain your digital footprint without compromising it by wondering the net.
My pc hasnt had a single infection in over 10 years of use, with 0 pc protection. In the end its all result of your online behavior, if you just use pc for crypto separated from your daily use rig and use it for nothing else your chance of compromised account are almost non existent, provided you dont go around and typing your account info into sites you got links to via chats and pop ups.
Stay safe out there folks, on cellphone so cant write as much as I want, if anyone got stuff to add would be cool so people can learn to behave responsibly online since most of these "hacks" are user screw ups anyway.
Better learn and take respnsibility so you can stay safer in the future.
Take care people, trust nobody, yourself the least when it comes to the interwebz.
