Has this bear made you a better investor?
That's usually how it goes. When everything is mooning, and everyone is hyped, you throw money at things without strategizing. Instead, daydreaming about the "what ifs" and mentally choosing the color of your new lambo.
I imagine many people here started in crypto with a gambling mentality but have since readjusted their approach. Abating the FOMO with intelligent decisions on whether or not the project is worth investing in, taking a step back and making sure you can afford it, not YOLOing into a fad because an "influencer" said it would moon.
I have definitely shifted my focus throughout this downturn. It has calmed me, made me more concise in my decisions, and less lackadaisical about keeping my crypto on exchanges.
I think the people who stick around during a bear market learn the lessons that make them better investors and make them better at managing their finances in general. Then, the bull comes, and the torch is passed to the next set of newbies entering the space. The cycle continues.
