How dependant of Vitalik is ETH? How is ETH going to be affected if Vitalik dies?

So i was curious how would things sort out now? i remember the "Vitalik holding a piece of paper with an Ethereum block number and the corresponding hash" thingy back in 2017 after rumors of death, and it was extremely unsettling.
