Why Lido should beware

TL;DR : If Lido does not behave responsibly, it could force the other stakers to hardfork away its funds.

As some of you know, Lido has a very large percentage of staking Eth, and this has recently caused concern – at 33%, there arise possibilities of censorship and/or abusive MEV. However, this is not an unsolvable problem: if Lido does not behave responsibly and hard-limit itself to less than 33% share, the remaining stakers will be able to simply hardfork away Lido’s stake, rendering it dead.

This is an extreme action, but if Lido does not behave responsibly, the community must perceive it as a threat to be neutralized. We will not allow 33% attacks. So, Lido had better tread carefully.
