“Buy the Rumor Sell the News” and LRC

Back in the fall, Loopring soared on the rumors that it would be used by GameStop. The price boomed, "LRC!!!!!" followed by rocket emojis appeared everywhere in this sub, and people really, really harped on the strategy of "buy the rumor, sell the news."

And then…then the news actually happened in March, the statement that LRC would power the GameStop NFT marketplace.

Perhaps what we didn't expect was the sudden, painful shrinkage of the NFT market, much like a man leaping into a pool of ice water.

Either way, LRC is still hanging out in low-price territory that is enticing people to fill their bags, while still being a far, far cry from where it was a few months ago.
