Cryptocurrency and blockchains came about 12 years ago and it can be said that it has brought about major changes in how we view everything.

These cryptocurrencies have shown that one can have money without being given by the government, strangers can come together and work, the internet can be very transparent while still being private, and many others.This was not how everything was before cryptocurrencies emerged.

Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency that was introduced followed by Ethereum and a list of other blockchains and then stablecoins and ICOs. Currently, there has been the introduction of NFTs, DAOs and DeFi. All these keep getting developed as several platforms like Aave look out for DeFi enthusiasts, Aragon looks out for DAO creators, Solis looks out for NFT artists.

These blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies are changes that have created bases for newly discovered possibilities to build and even transfer wealth and all these have led to the emergence of a new internet, Web 3.

With the emergence of these technological innovations, so many unanswered questions that are a matter of concern to everyone have risen. What does money value mean when one can create money suddenly without a national authorization?

Is it still possible for the US dollar to remain the top global currency when it is challenged by an electronic currency with value?
