My nephew got .3 eth on Kovan Test Network is it worth anything

Hi

Never really used metamask

But my netphew contacted me today

He got .3 eth on his metamask account from somebody, Now on hes metamask wallet hes on Kovan Test Network

Wich is why im writing this as i got no idea how it works, from what i know its a develop network

But is it worth anything, could he exchange it for an etherum that is on the main network

Or did he pretty much got nothing
