META is going to fail in Metaverse and NFTs, and that’s a good thing

Here's why the Zuckerverse will suck huge time:
- META will keep harvesting users' data which is against all Web3 is about and just gross at this point
- It won't be interoperable. Monopoly is all they are after.
- If all NFT trades are to be done internally, it's not true ownership. Not your keys, not your jpegs.
- Atrocious 50% cut from sales is just unusable. Your asset needs to double in price so you can just get even. And then come taxes.
- It will be centralized af. Which again defeats the purpose and is gross.
- "Meta has patented technology that could track what you look at and how your body moves in virtual reality in order to target ads at you." — google it.
META's fiasco will empathize the necessary shift towards community-driven projects, decentralization, permissionless — all core Web3 values. Projects actually built with the values of the future will flourish out meta's ugly demise.
META claim there will be 1 billion users in their metaverse in a couple of years?
I see it as there will be 1 billion users in metaverse.
That's why I'm still bullish on metaverse projects that slowly tread towards the end product.
