Did he make a mistake orr???

I know this may be not only ethereum related but the biggest topic is ethereum. I wanted to get into mining since i heard it will be postponed to late 2022 so i thought i had a chance to profit and still mine other coins and found this post. Did this guy mess up?

is this normal? Does this happen all the time? should i bid? could i end up paying for something i wont get??
