Kevin O’Leary lost $52k to a hacking scam in his first ever crypto adventure! Adopting good security practices is paramount for those starting out in crypto

Just tuned into the talk show that was going on here, and Kevin O Leary had a bunch of great points to share!
Who knew even he lost over 50k in his first crypto adventure to a hack! I could immediately relate with couple of friends who had similar experiences where they lost funds because securing your own keys is a radically different approach to banking, compared to what most are used to.
His advice to those starting out was to limit your exposure to a max of $1000 to get a hold of the basics like sendings coins from exchanges to wallets, gas fees etc. Only when you are comfortable should you start investing more.
Imo this is solid advice, as there are no support teams in place if you mess a transaction up. So its important to learn the basics before you jump headfirst into the crypto economy. Even better, most coins have a testnet where you can practice without any risk whatsoever
