I know it’s frustrating to see APY decrease, but think about it this way. We were gonna HODL these coins either way.

Personally I’m HODLing my ETH at least for 5 years and by seeing how strong and fanatic the Ethereum community is, I’m betting that a large portion of other holders are doing the same as well.

I don’t want this to be a case of “whataboutism” cause I’m just as frustrated as any other person here.

All I’m trying to say is, don’t take it TOO hard. You were gonna HODL your ETH regardless of whether there was even the option of staking entirely. So a 3% isnt THAT bad. Could be better, but its still a 3% and I’ll take it.

Let’s instead focus on the good that’s happening. ETH is merging, more adoption is happening, and most importantly scalability is starting to get handled better and better with scaling solutions upping their game each day. Lets not forget the fact that Polygon committed $1 billion solely for Zk technology development and they’re already doing great with Hermez.

Slowly but surely we’ll ETH2.0 will be put together piece by piece as Vitalik described it would. And its nice to know that all of us stakers are helping with that process through keeping the value to ETH well bolstered.
