I’m eyeing an ENS domain that’s about to expire. How do I make sure I get it?

Do you guys have experience buying ENS domains after they expire? I want to buy one that's going to expire soon, but I suspect other people are also going for it.

How do I make sure I get it? Would this be a good use case for flash bots?
