Facebook is being sued by Australian Regulators for not doing enough to stop crypto Scam ads using unlicensed images of celebrities like Elon Musk and Dick Smith

The ads that constantly appear on your Facebook feed that usually show Elon or some Australian entrepreneur will hopefully disappear soon.

I fucking hated seeing these ads show up. It actually made me use Facebook less and less to the point I barely touch it all anymore.

Thankfully the ACCC is now suing Facebook for allowing them to appear.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) is suing Meta – previously known as Facebook – over a series of crypto scam advertisements that used the likenesses or images of famous individuals to allegedly promote certain products and suck traders in.
