Anyone know if their is any plans to reduce ETH gas fees?

I am genuinely curious if anyone knows the answers to this. I got some money in some eth tokens, but the gas fees to trade or sell are ridiculous so I'd rather hold onto them until their is some changes made with the gas fee price.
