zkEVM by zkSync vs Loopring

Both of these rollups are going to release zkEVMs on the mainnet soon but does anyone have an understanding of whether zkSync’s version will have the same code structure as the ones currently deployed on Ethereum L1 such that any smart contract running on L1 can be easily ported over onto L2, or do developers need to redesign their code before porting it over onto L2. Loopring has confirmed that their version will be a true zkEVM that will allow immediate porting of all L1 contracts onto loopring’s L2, and I would like to compare that to what zkSync is developing on their end
