Validator Monthly returns question (% and Proposal count)

What are the monthly returns for running a validator ? i am at around 6.4% in the moment (which seems really high), my friend is at around 4.4%. I got more proposals than him , even though he is running more validators. can somebody please explain or tell me what the average % and Proposals per month is ? Ty
