Receiving payment through smart contract

Can any wallet be used to receive payments through a smart contract?

I use the crypto.com app and I will be receiving royalty payments for nft sales through a smart contract. Will I need to set up a specific defi wallet for that or can I use my existing ethereum wallet through the crypto.com app?

I'm a newbie in this and I am having trouble finding info online about this, so thank you in advance!
