Help me move to L2

I started buying ethereum in March/ April 2021. I have accumulated some but main chain has always been too expensive for me to do much…. I am interested in being able to trade a bit with other erc projects etc.

I want to move to an L2 but I am intimidated…

I am not a fan of sidechains, bridges just looked very fragile / hack prone from what I've seen… if I were to lose what I have invested in eth it wouldn't be totally devastating, but pretty bad.

I am looking for a roll up solution that meets a few requirements…

Easy to migrate too – I am not tech illiterate, but I am deffo not a blockchain wizard.

Sufficient liquidity / TVL that the roll up is unlikely to fail. (Some risk of failure is acceptable).

I want to be able to recall assets to main chain in the event of some unforseen issue.. recall should be able to be executed from main chain.

With those criteria in mind… where can I go? Any smart people out there that can give me some direction?
