We all heard that demand for cryptocurrency-related jobs increased by 395% in 2021, but what exactly are these jobs? Here are some weird ones.

There has been an increase in job advertisements for blockchain developers and engineer jobs – but also for ‘crypto talent’ like accounting and consulting, staffing, and in computer hardware sectors. Most make sense like Engineer or Security/Cryptography Researcher, and Translator, and ask for standard qualifications like Coding, Marketing, and Human Resource stuff.

But let’s look at a few weird ones.

NFT Marketing Guru: Someone who understands how to connect 3D creators to metaverse land owners and builders – work directly on campaigns with highly curated 3D creators, including world renowned architects and designers – plan, manage, and launch unique 3D NFT drops to build enthralling metaverse experiences. Requires: 3+years’ experience in marketing.

Senior IOS Engineer for NFT Platform @ Reddit: “Our Reddit team is a rapidly growing team that aims to build the largest creator economy on the internet, powered by independent creators, digital goods, and NFTs” – Design architectures and build components for millions of Redditors to sell and use crypto and NFT-backed digital goods – review code and design docs. Requires: 4+ years building apps with Objective-C or Swift – Entrepreneurial spirit – Experience with crypto/NFTs is not required “All of us learned along the way, and so can you.”

Staff Backend Crypto Engineer @ Reddit: Design new types of decentralized networks and infrastructure for millions of users – Build backend services – Develop smart contracts and integrate them with Reddit. Requires: ideally 8+ years’ experience in backend engineering working with Go, Python, Kubernetes, GRPC, and Postgres – looking for people who can contribute from day 0 -Blockchain experience not necessary.

Binance Angel: To look after and help Binance grow – Help new users – Respond to questions and comments – Test beta versions – organize online and offline events -translate and proofread content. Requires: Be passionate about crypto currency and exchanges/ already support of Binance.

NFT Degen @ Nexo: Manage and scale Nexo’s NFT products – Identify new opportunities in the market, by constantly tracking new collections, studios, and businesses in the space. – think of new use cases for NFTs and look where the market is going – curate NFT art for different kinds of audiences/build a solid NFT portfolio for wealthy investors Requires: NFT native with deep curiosity actively participate in the so-called Crypto Twitter, read NFT forums and discord channels – Understanding the Metaverse – have a Solid NFT portfolio and a high NFT Degen Score will make a good candidate perfect Perks: remuneration package, annual bonuses, Daycare center for the youngest – Wellness program including additional health insurance, Multisport card, – standing desks & protective glasses – healthy snacks and fresh fruits in the office – Free parking – free electric bikes – team parties

Crypto Twitter Expert / Digital Marketing Genius / Chad Hustler: Fully own and run our Twitter presence (several accounts) – Weekly scheduling of posts Grow engagement & followers – create compelling copywriting for experienced crypto users Requires: 2+ years' in blockchain technology- A hustler attitude – PhotoShop Blender and After Effects skills – Discord skills – Punk, Ape, Clone coding skills – “You get the blockchain ecosystem fully. We mean fully.” – 35-40h/week full-time position (Paid in crypto)

Bitcoin Youtube Video Producer: Create YouTube videos about Bitcoin, bitcoin wallets, bitcoin exchanges, and bitcoin mining – deep understanding of satisfying video content – Required: Prior video editing/making is preferred but not needed – can do test round where pay for one video and hire you part-time or for a few videos per week – equipment costs covered. Compensation: $1400 for two videos a week.

Videographer: develop visuals for video content – help define our branding identity – generate blockchain and product awareness – social media marketing – occasionally graphic designs for social media channels. Requires: 2+ years of videography, a degree in visual design field.

Developer Relations Evangelist @ MetaMask “The decentralized future needs you” – engage with developers and create compelling and authentic resources such as demos, code samples, documentation, how-to guides, and blog posts – motivate developers to build blockchain applications using MetaMask – refine messaging to attract new developers Requires: 4+ years of experience in developer relations- SDKs and APIs – writing code – JavaScript

PhD Position on Data Science Methods Detecting Legal Issues in Decentralized Systems: “However, some features and the faults of their design create significant deviations from the societal expectations embodied in institutions, laws, and ethical frameworks, e.g., DAO malfunctions, breach of data protection or financial regulation, financial fraud, and the lack of accountability of infrastructure, service developers and operators. I started cold-applying to some of these positions with my newly made crypto-Degen inspired resume. I taught myself python for crypto charting and web scraping and have made NFT sets before; it’s not much but I needed to start somewhere!
