Is Moonpay any good and transparent?

Hey guys, I've been exploring a couple options to buy Ethereum and discovered moonpay. It seems to charge a pretty low fee if I want to buy say $1000 dollars or something. Looking only from the calculated summary, the declared fee is about $40 to buy. Is there any more hidden fees once I go through, make an account, etc and buy with credit card? I don't really want to get screwed over like i've had with Binance asking to share data to a third party. I don't mind verifying my identity, but sharing it with a third party just to buy with debit cards/credit cards, no thank you! Let me know your experiences with Moonpay, and if there is any better alternatives. Thank you!
