Noob question on gas fees

I paid a gas fee to purchase an NFT with eth, when/if I come to selling it, and then ultimately sell my eth for $, will I pay a gas fee again? I assume so but gas fee was so high when I purchased that I’m concerned I’ll lose out a few hundred bucks unless I sell for a larger profit
