How are RVN Assets different from a Smart Contract?

Hey all, been riding RVN for a while and wanted to get a deeper dive on it’s utility case. I’ve seen that RVN can be used for asset tokenization and such, but how and why is it different/better than a smart contract platform such as Solana?
