What about the miners?

Hey, I've invested a bit into hardware to mine ethereum. Soon it will be POS. That's great, but what are they giving the POW miners that have been dedicated to them for so long? Is there any sort of miner payout? To thank us for years of mining. If i'd been in a regular job i'd be getting a redundancy payout…. There must be other miners out there thinking they are being short changed here… ?
