ETH 2.0 validators balance

Hi, so going through beaconscan, i see that many may validators have over 64 eth in deposits, with 32 eth effective. So that's 2x deposits of 32 eth + their income earned.

My question is, why two deposits? What's the point of having 64 eth when only 32 is the effective balance
