What do you think will happen when all bitcoin has been mined?
I’ve been thinking about this for a few years now and I go back and forth with myself. Part of me thinks the fact that what exists is all that exists will make it more valuable and people will really want it which will drive the price up.
Another part of me thinks that because there isn’t anymore, there will be a brief frenzy about it and then it’ll slow down and we will start seeing people shift out of bitcoin. Especially if the price does go up a lot, people will trade their positions and I just think 2nd, 3rd, 4th hand holders will be seeing diminishing returns as fewer and fewer people share the sentiment of wanting bitcoin.
With that being said, I wouldn’t mind having a piece of bitcoin just because. It’s been good to me over the years and I’ll always have this bit of dust in my wallet.
Curious what others of the community think.
