Django and Ethereum

I want create some DApps with Django.

Some websites say it's possible.

Online there are some tutorials about the integration Django-Ethereum thanks to Web3.py.

Do you thing is a bad idea?

For example to create ecommerces and social networks.

I prefer django because it is written in python, and because actually I don't create the website from scratch, I will edit some old projects.
