Can a Monkey out Perform Bitcoin?
Graham Stephen posted an interesting video where he had a Monkey choose ten random stocks out of the top 100 stocks by market cap. He then invested 10k into each stock and held it for a year to see if he could outperform the S&P 500. I won't spoil anything but you should check out the video.
I thought to myself, how about I do the same with crypto? I obviously don't have 100k to gamble like a millionaire but I can work a little overtime to put it towards a $1000 gamble. I chose 10 random coins out of the top 100 coins and invested $100 into each. Here are the rules.
- All coins must be available on Coinbase, solely for ease of tracking.
- HODL NO MATTER WHAT FOR A FULL YEAR
Goal: Outperform Bitcoin over the course of the year
It took me a while but the coins I got were: ZCash, Uniswap, Mana, Tezos, Celo, Pax, Ethereum Classic, LPT, Chain link, and Maker
XRP, KDA, Harmony, and PancakeSwap also showed up during the randomization but weren't available on Coinbase.
