Web3D (Decentralized) vs Web3C (Centralized)

ETH people since our core is based on decentralization.

With all the talk recently about Web3, can anyone layout the pros/cons or bullet points on the opinions of Web3 decentralized versus centralized?Our Past:

Web1.0 – (AOL) Content was shown to you, like it was a Time magazine

Web2.0 – Google, FaceBook/Meta, Big Tech own the Internet

Web3.0 – Decentralized, the people own it? (Need a lot of help here actually)

Web3C(Centralized) People: (Dorsey, Musk)

  • Web3 is packaged as 'decentralized' but is centralized and owned by the Venture Capitalists. i.e. – where Dorsey and Musk got their seed money to startup etc.

I have no references here just opinions (need help here)

Web3D(Decentralized) People: (Andreessen, Brooks, Buterin, Bankman-Fried who is still hotter on Solana vs ETH)

  • Web3 will be decentralized. Powered over various blockchains like Ethereum*

*- Bankman-Fried is still hotter on Solana than ETH (for months now)

Essentially a white paper on Web3 (must read) Andreessen AKA – A16Z and a VC:

<snip>

"We believe that the next wave of computing innovation—along with entirely new sectors of the economy—will be built on decentralized technology."

Marc Andreessen (recent with the Dorsey Square Block conflict):

(Disclaimer if this is too basic. If I could give myself a title it would be CSO – Chief Simplification Officer – I believe everything can be explained easily by the top experts who know how to speak/write to people of varying degrees of understanding complex issues.)
