Newbie in programming Ethereum: can I create a reddit clone with Ethereum / Smart Contracts applied somehow?

I’m totally new to Ethereum programming and want to start learning. An idea I’ve had for a while as a project was to build a Reddit clone. Could I somehow leverage Smart Contracts and Ethereum to do it?

Apologies for not having done my homework. I just want to know if it’s possible to do it to keep motivated!
