Why connection between ethereum addresses hasn’t taken off?

I was wondering about how someone would be able to add another address to their "list of contacts" and I found out these 2 dapps: CyberConnect and IDX but both are not very popular. I was quite surprised to see such natural use-case struggling that much to find adoption in the ecosystem. Why is that? Is it maybe a privacy concern? Or are we just early?
