Gas Fees for Compound & in general

Let's say it's current gas he is 150 gwei

Am I able to supply collateral to the compound protocol with a gas fee of 50 gwei it would just take 10 days ?

Or would the transaction never go through and I just lose my ethereum ?

How do I reduce my gas cost and still make sure the transaction is processed ?
