Are there any actually cool NFTs?

So I’m new to the space have a general understanding of crypto, blockchain, and NFTs. Something I don’t get is why the NFTs I see floating around the internet seem to be very similar, and are generally like ugly monkey portraits or similar. Are there less publicized NFTs that are actually cool and worth buying and owning?
