eth 2.0 will i still be able to mine eth? or will it just make it more difficult? will my miner just stop mining?

like i mine with lolminer with 2 3090s, 1 1080, and 1 1080ti if i didnt bother changing anything in my setup when the merge happens will it just stop mining? will it just make it less profitable to mine? or??? I understand this is just speculation at this point but ive seen many people say that gpu mining will be dead once the merge happens but they never elaborate what that means
