LP Pools / Price changes

Guys, a real newb question here; I could use some of your experience in DeFi;

When you deposit two assets in equal amounts into the Liquidity Pool; as one devalues the other goes up in value to keep the equilibrium right?

Ex. 100 ETH from 2 USD and 200 USD (Total of 400 USD in value)

Scenario 1 : ETH equals 1 USD

Your LP : 100 ETH & 300 USD

Is the math correct?
