Help with pending transactions

I have had 3 separate transactions pending for a while now. One for a few hours and 2 for several days now. This doesn’t seem normal. Do transactions usually take this long? I can check the etherscan link and it says something about it being a low priority transaction (something similar to that). These transactions are expensive to begin with but why would it be taking this long?
