What makes the price of raven go up?

Might seem like a stupid question. As far as I understand it the more people that buy it and hold it the higher the price goes. Does that count for RVN that was mined or is sitting on an exchange? Does it need to be in a trezor?

Just want to know so that I'm not accidentally hurting the push. Got over 10k Rvn so far!
