Which coins will benefit from ETH2 and which will it kill?

I am looking to diversify my crypto portfolio, currently holding equal amounts BTC and ETH. Before I invest in altcoins I am wondering which ones might be rendered obsolete by the ETH2 update and why? Which coins might benefit? There are so many out there, I don't know where to start looking.
