Quick question about gwei

hi, I'm trying to send SAND token from Venly wallet to Binance. The fee is rather high.

If I change the gewi from the current gwei price seen on ether scan for example 90 gwei to let's say 40 gwei but not change the gas limit which metamask has default 200000.

Will changing the gwei just make the transaction take longer or will it fail?
