Lack of compounding

I staked some eth last year on kraken without realizing I could not touch it until eth 2.0 comes out, which will of course be just around the corner for the next 10 years.

Is there any chance that compounding functionality could be added because having the simple interest is really pissing me off… if eth 2.0 doesnt come out for another 2 years thats hundreds left on the table for me…
