Does Ethereum EFT price move as Ethereum?

Can someome explain how EFT differs?

Is it that basically an investment company owns millions worth of ethereum in cold storage. Then they divide one ethereum coin into like 100 smaller shares….that an EFT investor can purchase?

If someome has 8k value of Ethereum EFT. Does that mean essentially they own two Ethereum coins (valued around 4k now)?
